Hey there .. With the festive season around the corner.. The markets are flooded with goodies and gifts.. In today’s post we have bookmarked the key Diwali melas and bazaars in Delhi NCR for all the shopping enthusiasts!! .. My fav is the Blind School Diwali Mela.. It’s very popular and crowded as well.. Even when I was heavily pregnant with Ahaan.. I managed to survive the mela madness..and bought a pretty nice (and pretty heavy too) urli for my home.. Well..that speaks volume about my love for the festival!!

Karva Chauth is around the corner. The Festival of Karwa Chauth is said to be very auspicious as it brings good fortune and long life for one’s life partner if a married women observes fast with full faith for her husband.

The rituals and customs may vary amongst regions but the essence remains same. The festival of Karwa chauth is celebrated with great religious fervor and with strict adherence to guidelines of the Karwa chauth Pooja.

A decorated thali is a very important component for performing the Karva Chauth puja. A pooja thali, also known as Baya, containing the roli, vermilion, sacred water, dry fruits like almonds, pishta etc., earthen clay pots, diyas and different types of Indian sweets, in their respective katoris, is tastefully decorated.

Nowadays, Karva Chauth gift hampers are available online in a vast range and include dry fruits and sargi. Puja thalis are also there in different shapes, styles and price points.
